Trendy 30th: summer version

It’s summer! Right now we’re in New Jersey and the weather is incredibly hot. Some days all I can think of is pools and beaches, so I decided to take advantage of the situation with this article.

When I was looking for inspiration, my first thought was swimsuits! So I started to look for different brands and designs, until I found this amazing “Pastel Love” from Venezuelan brand Lirio de Mar. The colors are stunning and match the summer theme, plus the patterns are perfect for a nail art.

The process was a little harder than usual because I don’t have all my tools with me, and it was the first time my boyfriend took the pictures, but I’m really happy with the final result. So, welcome summer! ¿What do you think?

¡Es verano! Justo ahora estamos en New Jersey y hay días en los que solo sueño con lanzarme a una piscina o estar en la playa, así que decidí tomar ventaja de la situación con este artículo.

Cuando empecé a buscar fuentes de inspiración mi primer pensamiento fue ¡trajes de baño! Así que empecé a buscar diseños y marcas. Encontré opciones increíbles, pero este “Pastel Love” de la marca venezolana Lirio de Mar captó mi atención. Los colores son increíbles y el patrón es perfecto para un nailart.

El proceso fue un poco mas engorroso de lo usual ya que no tengo todas mis herramientas aquí, además fue la primera vez que mi novio tomaba las fotos, pero a pesar de todo, quede muy contenta con el resultado. Así que, ¡bienvenido el verano!

1. Apply a base coat.

1. Aplica una capa base.

2. We’re doing a unique nail. Once you decide which one you’re doing, paint with two coats of turquoise.

2. Este arte tiene una uña única. Cuando decidas cual va a a ser, pinta dos capas de turquesa sobre ella.

3. Then you’re going to draw an horizontal line with a fuchsia color on the rest of your nails.

3. Luego, dibuja una linea horizontal en el resto de tus uñas con un color fucsia.

4. With the same color, paint from the base of the nail to the line you just drew.

4. Con el mismo color, pinta todo el espacio desde la base de la uña hasta la línea que acabas de dibujar.

5. Back to your unique nail. Get your yellow and outline two circles in the corners of your nail as shown in the picture.

5.  De vuelta a tu uña única. Busca tu amarillo y dibuja la silueta de dos circulos como lo muestra la imagen.

6. Fill the circles you just outlined.

6. Rellena los dos círculos que recién silueteaste.

7. Now, draw two diagonal lines from the base of the nail to the end of the closest circle.

7. Ahora dibuja dos líneas diagonales desde la base de la uña hasta el final del círculo mas cercano.

8. Your unique nail is ready! With turquoise, paint a french line in the rest of your nails.

8. ¡Tu uña única está lista! Con el turquesa pinta una línea francesa en el resto de tus uñas.

9. Now, with turquoise, paint two small lines to connect the french line with the fuchsia part of your nail.

9. Ahora, con el turquesa, pinta dos pequeñas líneas conectando la línea francesa con la parte fucsia de tu uña.

10. Remove all the imperfections with a brush or cotton swap.

10. Remueve las imperfecciones usando una brocha o un hisopo.

11. Finish with a top coat for a neat result.

11. Por último, aplica un brillo protector para un resultado impecable.
