Squaries

I must confess, this design wasn’t planned at all, in fact, it was the result of trying to fix some squares that didn’t look as good as expected. In top of that, I had a Lunch at my boyfriend’s (that’s why you can see so few pictures of the final result) so basically, what you see is the outcome of an against-the-clock process. I present to you, my Squaries.

At some point I felt very down but I decided not to give up and when the final outcome came to happen It was a relief, it worked better that expected. That’s why I decided not to throw it away. I think working under pressure worked in my favor this time and helped me practice some lines.

So now you know, if it isn’t working “change the path, not the goal”, it applies to everything as you can see =)

Debo hacerles un confesión, este diseño no fue para nada planeado, de hecho fue el resultado que obtuve al ingeniármelas para arreglar unos cuadrados que no se veían tan bien como esperaba.  Además, como si eso fuera poco, justo ese día no tenía tiempo para volver a empezar porque tenía un almuerzo en casa de mi novio (por eso hay tan pocas fotos del resultado final) así que básicamente lo que ven fue el resultado de un proceso maratónico contra reloj. En un momento llegué a estar bastante ofuscada pero decidí no rendirme y cuando vi el resultado final fue un alivio, funcionó mejor de lo que esperaba y decidí no desechar este post, creo que trabajar bajo presión jugó a mi favor en esta ocasión y me ayudó a practicar mis líneas.

Así que ya saben, si no está funcionando “cambien el camino no la meta”, aplica para todo como pueden ver =)

1.  Use a base coat.

1. Utiliza una base protectora.

2.  With magic tape make square masks in every nail, but in differents places.

2. Con teipe mágico arma cuadrados en cada una de tus uñas pero ubicándolos en diferentes lugares.

3.  Paint inside the shape white a bright color, I used an orange polish (until this point everything was fine).

3. Pinta dentro de cada forma con un color brillante, yo decidí usar un esmalte naranja (hasta este punto todo iba bien).

4.  This is when everything got messy, apparently I didn’t put the magic tape correctly, so when I removed it all the polish went rogue.

4. Aquí fue cuando las cosas dejaron de suceder como lo había planeado, aparentemente no puse bien el teipe y como consecuencia la pintura hizo lo que quiso.

5.  After a few minutes of desesperation the sanity came back to me with a fantastic idea. I used gold polish to outline every square (to save the shape) and repeating the secuence all over the nail.

5. Después de unos minutos de desesperación, la calma regresó a mí. Usando una pintura dorada delinee cada cuadrado (para que recuperar la forma) y repetí el patrón sobre toda la uña.

6.  Apply top coat for an awesome finish.

6. Aplica una capa protectora para pulir todos os detalles.

7.  Remove all imperfections with a cotton swap or brush.

7. Remueve las imperfecciones con un hisopo o un pincel.
